If you are not a Doctor Who fan, you probably don’t know who this is. If you are a Doctor Who fan, you have been following Tony Lee for quite some time. So who is he? He’s a #1 New York Times best selling graphic novelist! We Whovians know him as the writer for IDW Publishing’s Doctor Who Comics (if you have not read The Forgotten, go get it now!). He’s also highly entertaining at conventions and on Twitter.

Another name you might not be familiar with, but I feel that writers deserve much more respect (and more celebrity status). James Moran has written for both Doctor Who and Torchwood, not to mention the horror-comedy film “Severance.”

Nichelle Nichols from the original Star Trek series. This woman broke ground by being one of the first African-American women featured in a major television series not playing a servant. Her role as Uhura, a bridge officer, was unprecedented at the time. In my opinion, she is still a great role model for women everywhere.
