Underrated Celeb Tweeters, Part 1
Underrated Celeb Tweeters, Part 1
So as geeks, I’m sure that we are all on Twitter and following people like @wilw, @nathanfillion, @nerdist and @feliciaday. But what about those lesser known celebrities that we might be missing on our Twitter lists?
The following is the beginning of a list of lesser-known celebrities on Twitter, those who have less than 1 million followers and many of whom you may not be aware of as even being on Twitter. This list was put together with the help of my own Twitter followers and will probably encompass several posts in the weeks to come. If you have your own suggestions, please feel free to comment here or tweet me @sunrisepromo.
Now on to the first Twitter celebrities on my list (and these are not in any particular order):
@russelltovey and @sineadkeenan
If you’re familiar with the UK version of Being Human, you know Russell Tovey and Sinead Keenan as the show’s two resident werewolves. On Twitter, they are two of the most adorable people you could ever hope to virtually meet. They’re great at interacting with their followers and amazingly sweet. And yes, they have both @replied to me, so they’re at the top of the list. See how easy I am?
@sasharoiz and @bambolabambina
I loved Caprica and I am still upset about its untimely demise. Fortunately, Sasha Roiz and Alessandra Torresani from the show are both on Twitter. Sasha was an Adama – need I say more? And Alessandra? She was the mother of all cylons. Following these two is a double win!
@EyeofJackieChan
I don’t think Jackie Chan needs an introduction, but I was pretty excited to discover that he was on Twitter. Thanks to @nuchtchas for this recommendation!
@EricBalfour
I’m a little biased. I’ve been a fan of Eric Balfour’s since Six Feet Under. But did you know that he was also a vampire in the first episode of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer? Currently starring in SyFy’s Haven, he’s definitely a celebrity you’ll want to follow. And he’s also great at interacting with fans.
@SimonJCLeBon
This is a personal favorite of mine. The lead singer of Duran Duran, Simon LeBon is pretty much a Twitter noob. I have been a fan of his, though, since I was 13 years old. He really seems to grasp that Twitter is all about interacting with the fans and does a great job at that. He also gets bonus points on this list as he once said that I knew “what I was on about.” I <3 him.
So that’s the list for this week. Stay tuned for more Celeb Tweeters to follow in the weeks to come!
