Actor Andrew Garfield recently took some time off from shooting The Amazing Spiderman 2 to shoot some hoops with local Brooklyn kids.
Of course, the first question everyone asked when The Amazing Spiderman was announced “Why do we need a Spiderman reboot?” And the best answer was obviously that we don’t. However, that’s not to say that the newest offering in the Spiderman universe isn’t good.
This summer has its share of highly anticipated movies, many of which are based on comic books. One of these films, The Amazing Spiderman, has a lot of people wondering if it’s just too soon since the Sam Raimi take on the series, but judging from this new four-minute preview, I think this one will hold its own.
Look at all these superhero movies! Not only has The Avengers officially opened here in the US, but we still have both The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises to look forward later this summer. How much more awesome can this year be?
It’s no secret that The Amazing Spiderman is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. I’m only hoping that this reboot (which, I still feel, is too soon) is actually good. I’ve liked everything I’ve seen so far, but great clips and a great trailer do not necessarily make for a good film.
It’s here! It’s here! The very official The Amazing Spiderman trailer. I honestly was not excited about this film until Andrew Garfield’s fantastic and heartfelt speech at last year’s Comic Con. But now that I’ve seen a few sneak peeks and this trailer, I think this is going to turn out to be a pretty “amazing” film.
According to Deadline, on February 6th, some lucky movie-goers in 13 major cities around the world are going to get a few never-before-seen peeks of the upcoming The Amazing Spiderman.
I truly had my doubts about a reboot of Spiderman, especially considering that Sam Raimi’s trilogy of films weren’t all that long ago. And I just really liked Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. However, after Andrew Garfield got emotional at the 2011 Comic Con about being able to play the iconic hero, my heart softened.
This week has brought new artwork to promote both The Dark Knight and The Amazing Spiderman. And both posters are intriguing in their own way.
