So who is excited about science fiction returning to the Syfy channel? When the network picked up Canadian hit Continuum, I have to admit that I was excited. I have not yet seen the show, but the premise alone already has me hooked.
Science fiction games seem to be uber-hot right now, thanks to the success of games like Bioware’s Mass Effect series. But cyberpunk as a genre in games is also starting to be a new trend for 2013. Mix both and you get something that probably looks a lot like Mars: War Logs – the latest title in development by Focus Home Interactive.
After receiving a review copy of Cognition Episode 1: The Hanging Man, I was immediately excited. It has been a really long time since I have played a good point-and-click adventure game, and Cognition had a premise that intrigued me right off the bat.
Today’s games are highly detailed, advanced and complex, but they would not exist had it not been for these early PC adventure games.
I have been literally waiting for something genre to get picked up by a streaming service and this series seems to fit the bill. Produced by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever), in Hemlock Grove, nothing is what it seems to be.
I recently had the opportunity to chat with Haven cast members Emily Rose, Eric Balfour and Adam Copeland who told me that this season finale was going to be a doozie.
