Falling Skies: A Preview

It seems TNT is getting in on the science fiction trend and airing an original sci fi series. But to up their game, they had Stephen Spielberg be the executive producer, along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, Graham Yost and screenwriter Robert Rodat.

It seems TNT is not fooling around.

“Falling Skies” tells the story of the aftermath of an alien invasion and follows a group of survivors who must band together in order to fight back against the invaders. The group, known as the Second Mass, is led by history professor Tom Mason (Noah Wylie) who, in search of his son, must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as one of the leaders of the resistance movement.

“Falling Skies” is set to premiere on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at 9 p.m. with a two-hour pilot episode.
