With E3 right around the corner, video game publishers and developers are dropping trailers like flies. That’s right, it’s time to get gamers excited about this year’s upcoming releases. One of those releases is Vampyr, by Life Is Strange developer DontNod.
In Vampyr, players become Dr. Jonathan Reid, a doctor turned into a vampire against his will. This, obviously, causing an internal conflict, and as Dr. Reid, players must make decisions that will aid their own survival, but also deal with the curse of having to hunt and kill to live.
“To survive against deadly foes roaming the streets – vampire hunters, undead Skal and other monstrosities – you will need to choose which civilians to feed on, so you can grow stronger and evolve your vampiric abilities,” reads the press release for Vampyr. “Use your unholy powers to manipulate and delve into the lives of those around you – but be prepared to live with the consequences of your actions. A web of interconnected citizens with unique lives and relationships react to your decisions, and killing just one may cause the downfall of an entire city district. Your actions will save or doom London.”
DontNod released the E3 trailer for the game, as well as the official release date: expect it to drop in November PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players can pre-order the game now from the official Vampyr website.
