Thanks to the success of Disney’s live-action remake of the animated movie Beauty and the Beast, the company announced today that it will remake that remake with a digitally-animated version of the movie.
According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, “you can never have too much of a good thing, right?”
This move comes after comments about the most recent Beauty and the Beast, where filmmakers discussed what they felt they could add to the franchise if given the opportunity. The new remake of a remake will feature some new characters, including Loki (as voiced by Tom Hiddleston) so that the company can combine its traditional properties with its new Marvel properties.
According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, “you can never have too much Marvel either.”
In the new animated Beauty and the Beast, Loki will take over as the beast and Belle will become his accomplice in taking over the world. Meanwhile, The Avengers will be set to stop them, but nothing can stop the love Belle has for her villainous beau from Asgard.
