Telltale Games sure is busy: not only are is the developer still releasing episodes for Batman: The Telltale Series, but the company also has big things in store for the rest of 2017 into 2018.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series
The company made two major announcements recently, including more details about its planned five-episode Guardians of the Galaxy game.
“The energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure of the Guardians provides an enormously satisfying space to explore through Telltale’s unique style of interactive storytelling,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games, in a press release. “In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot’s seat in directing their escapades around the universe. We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we’ve been developing when it premieres in 2017.”
The game’s first episode will launch in 2017 for PC, consoles and mobile devices. Here’s a teaser trailer:
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier
But wait, there’s more! The next chapter in Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier, also got a few announcements. First, the company plans on releasing the first two episodes on December 20. Telltale also released an extended preview of the game, which introduces a new character, Javier. “We witness how the beginning of the zombie plague affected him and his family before we move forward in time to years later, where he encounters a very familiar face….” reads the press release.
