Sneak a peek at the characters you’ll have in your party in Dragon Age Inquisition.
Well, we only have a few months left (we hope) before the official release of Dragon Age Inquisition. We now know some familiar characters will be returning: Varric, Leliana and Morrigan. However, out of those three characters, only one will be available as a party member. I know, that’s sort of disappointing, but don’t fret, because you’ll have some new party members to get to know, romance, etc.
Sidenote: I have to admit, though, from this list, I don’t see my character romancing any of these. I miss Anders and Alistair!
Cassandra is of noble birth, but turned her back on luxury and money to be a member of the Seeker of Truth order which fights corruption and magical threats. The organization was in charge of investigating the Chantry, but abandoned ship when the mages rebelled. Cassandra, though, remained loyal to the cause and seeks to be the right hand of the Divine. She is driven by a strong sense of justice.
Vivienne is the “Lady of Iron” and is a leader of the mages, as well as the official enchanter to the Imperial Court. She is politically-savvy and beguiling and doesn’t let anything stand in the way of what she wants. She disagrees with the mage rebellion and is fighting to restore order to a world thrown into chaos, as long as she’s one of those left standing in the end.
Cole, a ghost in the shadows, brings stealth to the party, as well as assassination abilities. He is caught between the Fade and the physical world and he’s not sure if he’s even real, if he’s a human or a demon. He is striving to find his place in the world and is an ally to those wishing to help the helpless and restore order.
Blackwall is one of the lonely Grey Wardens, living a life of hardship and sacrifice to protect the world from evil. He is one of the few Wardens to choose this destiny, believing in the noble values of the Wardens, preferring a life of valor over all other, regardless of the sacrifices he has to make.
Dorian is part of the proud Tevinter Imperium, a mage with a flair for magic that makes his peers jealous. He is charming and confident, perhaps even a little cocky. Unfortunately, he disagrees with everything his homeland stands for, which has made him an outcast. Dorian, however, doesn’t care, and is proud to stand up and make a difference.
Sera is both impulsive and rash. She lives in the moment and isn’t a big fan of authority. She has no problem putting arrows through bad guys to save the world and sees herself fighting for those caught in the middle of the conflict of her world. Her reasons, however, are entirely selfish: she wants the world to return to normal so she can play with it again.
Solas is an apostate and prefers to live in the wilds away from the civilized world. He learned magic on his own by exploring the Fade. He prefers the company of ruins over his people. However, now that the world is at risk and other mages are hiding, Solas is coming out of hiding to help those who would fight the chaos.
Varric, the dwarf, returns as a party member in Dragon Age Inquisition. Part rogue, part storyteller, he was born above ground and has little regards for his fellow subsurface dwarves. He claims to only care about serving himself, but deep down, he has a heart of gold. He is actively involved with the ongoing conflict.
The Iron Bull
The Iron Bull is Quanari, one of those so-called brutal horned giants that seek to conquer all. He is a brilliant hunter and spy, but battle broke him. His superiors sent him to Orlais to observe and report. He is now the leader of a group of famous mercenaries who are hugely loyal to him. Having lived outside Quanari society for so long, he now wonders who he really is. He’ll join the Inquisition to get paid to kill demons.
So there you have it: all of the party characters you’ll have the chance to interact with in Dragon Age Inqusition. Which character are you most intrigued with?
