New BioShock Infinite Video is a faux documentary about Columbia
Today, Irrational games released a faux documentary video detailing some of the history of Columbia, the setting for BioShock Infinite. In this video, entitled Truth From Legend (Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus), we discover that Columbia was originally a project of a religious egomaniac and a world’s fair.
This new trailer for BioShock Infinite is pretty dark and creepy, not unlike the 1893 World’s Fair (the Columbian Exposition) that it was based on. It also features the religious undertones of the game that we’ve been hearing hints about, revealing a bit more about the man who founded Columbia: Father Comstock.
All in all, this documentary makes Columbia feel a lot like Rapture. And that’s a good thing. Many fans of the BioShock series have been concerned about a change of setting. From what I’ve seen so far, these trailers only cement the fact that the tone of the new game is still staying true to that of the original.

BioShock Infinite is set for release in March.
