The lights go out in Revolution trailer

I’ve watched this trailer for the new J.J. Abrams television series Revolution and I’m fairly certain I’ve seen this show before. It doesn’t strike me as terribly original and yet it does seem rather intriguing (although there is a little overacting here that makes me cringe).

But let’s face it, the post-apocalyptic thing has been done before. But can Abrams do it better? And make it interesting? Something tells me this might end up being the next Alcatraz, a series that promised so much more but was not able to deliver and ended up being canceled.

But I’ll watch. Because it’s the sort of thing I might actually like.

So watch the trailer and let me know what you think:

it reminds of taking the first episode of James Burke’s _Connections_ and combining it with some sort of conspiracy theory.

it doesn’t particularly interest me, but it doesn’t help that i’m not a big fan of JJ Abrams.  I couldn’t stand Lost.

I haven’t a clue if the series will be a hit, but I can tell you, from having been an extra on the set, that I got a good vibe from everything I saw.  I played a militia person and my wife and kids were background extras in a market scene.
