When fandoms collide: Ben Browder to appear on Doctor Who

Okay, just re-read that headline and tell me you didn’t just squeal like a little girl on a roller coaster. Because I totally did. As a huge fan of Farscape, the news that’s just come in of Ben Browder appearing in next season’s Doctor Who is obviously squeal worthy.

According to SFX, the new issue of Doctor Who magazine is reporting that Browder will be appearing in the third episode of the new season of Doctor Who. This episode, written by Toby Whithouse is to be set in the Wild West.

The magazine also states that Saul Metzstein (Micro Men, Upstairs Downstairs) will be directing that episode, that the second episode has been written by Chris Chibnall and that the second block of filming will cover two episodes written by Steven Moffat and directed by Nick Hurran.

Obviously, the big news here is Browder’s appearance on the show. I’m filing this one under “Things that make a Fan Girl extremely happy.”
