Although The Dark Tower project is officially dead in the water (much to my relief), there is still some Stephen King headed to television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bag of Bones is being adapted for television by the A&E Network into a four-part mini-series.
Former James Bond Pierce Brosnan will star as the main character, a man who is unable to stop grieving for his dead wife. He returns to the lakeside retreat they once shared and somehow gets involved in a local custody battle. Meanwhile, there are nightmares about his wife and ghosts, lots of ghosts.
It’s been awhile since I’ve read the book, but I remember it was pretty terrifying and one of my favorites for a while. And I’m pretty stoked about seeing Pierce Brosnan playing the lead, as well. Not to mention that I feel A&E will treat the material with the respect it deserves.
