L.A. Noire DLC Starts Today

As of today, Rockstar games is beginning to offer new DLC for L.A. Noire. As I’ve previously noted, I’m a huge fan of this game. I’m still playing it and plan on investing in DLC like I’ve never done for any other game. The addition of new cases to solve is particularly interesting to me.

Today, two new cases are available for download: “The Naked City” and “A Slip of the Tongue.” I actually already have the latter as it was a bonus for buying the game at WalMart. The first case falls with the vice desk and the second with the traffic desk. They’ll run you about $4 each (320 Microsoft Points).

There are also a few new in-game items available. You can also access the Broderick detective suit and gun as well as the sharpshooter detective suit and gun for $1 (80 MSP) each. Rockstar is also giving away the Chicago piano machine gun to all, while the Chicago Lightning detective suit is free to those who belong to the Rockstar Social Club. Finally, The Badge Pursuit Challenge can be bought for $2 (160 MSP).

Two more cases are also being prepped to be released over the next few months: The “Nicholson Electroplating” arson case will arrive on June 21, while the “Reefer Madness” vice case is scheduled to be released on  July 12. These will also both be available for $4 (320 MSP).

Although all of these things can be bought individually, if you purchase the Rockstar Pass, which gives you access to all 7 pieces of new content for $10. This will only be available for a limited time before the price is raised to $12.

I’ve been earning reward points through the relatively newXBox Live Rewards program and plan on putting those to good use very soon for this DLC. I’ve also been earning points to go towards MSP via Bing (if you’re interested, you can sign up for that here).

So how about it? Will you be purchasing DLC for L.A. Noire?
