The original Fright Night is one of my favorite horror/comedy movies of all time. It’s one of those films I can watch over and over and over. It’s campy and a little scary and absolutely perfect in every way.
You can imagine my trepidation when I heard they would be remaking the film. But the casting has me curious enough to consider going to see it. I mean, the photos we’re seeing of David Tennant as Peter Vincent, who is now a Chis Angel rip-off are teaser enough, aren’t they?
But now we have an actual theatrical trailer. After viewing this, I am concerned that this remake has taken itself way too seriously. I will probably still see it, because of Tennant, but I have my doubts. What do you think?
Note: Around the 2:10 mark, we get a quick glimpse of David Tennant in the trailer.
